New Baltimore Michigan Winterfest | Lake St. Clair Winter Festival
New Baltimore Winterfest is one of the biggest winter celebrations in New Baltimore, Michigan, bringing the community together for a full weekend of cold-weather fun right along the shores of Lake St. Clair.
Held in downtown New Baltimore at Walter and Mary Burke Park, Winterfest features a massive heated tent, live music, tournaments, chili cook-offs, food, drinks, and plenty of activities throughout the event.
One of the highlights each year is the Polar Plunge, where participants brave the icy waters of Lake St. Clair while helping raise money for the New Baltimore Lions Club and its work in the local community.
Between the live entertainment, competitions, food, and waterfront setting, Winterfest is a great example of the community spirit that makes New Baltimore such a fun place to live and visit year-round.

The New Baltimore Polar Plunge is one of the biggest highlights of Winterfest in New Baltimore, Michigan, bringing hundreds of participants and thousands of spectators to the waterfront at Walter and Mary Burke Park.
Participants make the cold walk from the beach across the ice to a hole cut into the frozen surface of Lake St. Clair’s Anchor Bay, where they take the plunge into the icy water — all while raising money for the New Baltimore Lions Club.
The New Baltimore Fire Department is on hand throughout the event to help keep participants safe, while crowds line the waterfront to cheer on everyone brave enough to take the plunge.
It’s a unique New Baltimore tradition that combines community, charity, and a little bit of craziness on the ice.
